The Partnership regularly undertakes efforts to prioritize its work by synthesizing the most updated knowledge from local scientists. Approximately once per decade, the Partnership hosts a series of workshops using the Conservation Action Planning (CAP) methodology to assess needs for both Marine and Freshwater fish habitats within the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
As with any planning and prioritization work, this is a living exercise and one that will be iterative and modified as we learn and adapt. The following .pdf files were developed in 2011-2012; and the Freshwater Conservation Action Plan was again updated and revised in 2021-2022. The publications are available to help interested parties see the collective thinking of our local scientists.
